History |
Laboratory and Veterinary Health Programme, established in 2025 under the Department of Veterinary at Kiraz Vocational School, began its education and training activities in the fall semester of the 2025-2026 academic year. |

Profile of the Programme |
To fill the gap in the need for qualified intermediate personnel in laboratories and areas where veterinary services are provided. In addition, laboratories that fall within the scope of veterinary medicine, animal feeding and breeding, culture and pet breeding, preventive vaccination, and artificial insemination require personnel who are experienced in these areas. The goal is to train technical personnel who can perform food and pathological analyses in public and private laboratories affiliated with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, combat epidemic and parasitic diseases, and assist veterinarians in clinical examinations and operations. |

Access to Further Studies |
Students who have completed their two-year education have the opportunity to continue their education in undergraduate programs through the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) administered by the Measurement, Selection, and Placement Center (ÖSYM). The departments eligible for transfer include Veterinary Medicine at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, Animal Production, and Agricultural Biotechnology at the Faculty of Agriculture, as well as Molecular Biology and Genetics, Biology, Biotechnology, and Molecular Biology programs at the Faculty of Science. |

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading |
Evaluations are conducted in accordance with Dokuz Eylül University's "Associate and Bachelor's Degree Examination Regulations." |
Graduation Requirements |
In order to successfully complete all courses in the program, students must obtain a weighted grade point average of 2.00 out of 4.00 and successfully complete their professional internship. |
