Course Objective

The aim of the course is to explain the structural situation of the Turkish Economy and to evaluate the basic debates.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Ability to analyze the Turkish economy periodically.
2   To be able to distinguish the differences of the Turkish economy between periods.
3   To be able to evaluate the Turkish Economy in the context of national and international developments of the period.
4   To be able to discuss the transformation experienced in Türkiye in 1980 in all its aspects, in terms of its causes and consequences.
5   To be able to distinguish forward and backward connections between sectors by making a sectoral analysis of the Turkish economy.
6   Ability to evaluate current developments regarding the Turkish economy
