Course Objective

To examine the emergence of Turcology as a branch of science, its reasons, and the development stages of this science; To have information about Turkology Studies carried out in Türkiye and in the World

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To have information about Turkology centers and departments in the world
2   To be able to read and interpret Turkology studies conducted outside Türkiye
3   Being able to capture orientalist and non-orientalist perspectives
4   To understand the importance of filtering Turkology studies written in different languages and translating them into Turkish.
5   Ability to do library research and internet browsing.
