Course Objective

The aim of the course is usually written to indicate
the content and direction of the course from the perspective of the
instructor.
The aim of this course is to present the reflections and effects of
constitutionalism, which is known as the intellectual laboratory of the
republic, in the historical process from the scientific point of view.
The aim of the course is to enable the graduate student of history to see
historical events and phenomena through the factors of change in
continuity and not in the axis of a radical rupture.
to help to comprehend the events and phenomena of recent history in a
totality

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Learning outcomes are clear and concise statements showing the characteristics that students should exhibit at the end of the lesson and how to demonstrate them
2   To have a methodological knowledge about historical continuity
3   While analyzing recent history,to discover the motives of radical break and break points.
4   From constitutionalism to republic to have knowledge about the turkey's intellectual accumulation

1 Socio-economic analysis of the constitutional period The constitution of the concepts of cooperativeization, state, homeland and nation from constitutional monarchy to republic within the dominant Turkish state tradition
2 Young ottoman:organization and objectives Historical references of the establishment of the dominant Turkish state
3 1876 ,the knowledge of basic law and constitutional debates in modern turkey Debates on republicanism and congresses, defense law associations(müdafa-yı hukuk) and going to (way to) the republic
4 The autocratic rule of the second abdulhmit and political opposition Evolution
5 Committee of Union and Progress:organization, interaction and development
6 Intellectual development of the young turkish opposition in exile:ottomanism, Islamism, Westernism, Turkism
7 International conjuncture and intellectual interactions;narodnism, peasantry, solidarism, solidarity, positivism, socialism, corperatism, and populism(1)
