Course Objective

Our main objective in the course where political, religious and social structures of Europe and Islamic World in the middle age will be studied from comparative point of view is to introduce main literary sources and argumentations about Eastern and Western civilisations, and to give ability of evaluating their socio-cultural and economic progress as well as their political history, explaining and analyzing their transformative and formative changes.

4 Empires and Kingships in the medieval Europe II Relations between England, France, the papacy and Byzantium in medieval Europe
5 States that marked in Islamic World I Prominent tates in the Islamic World I: Umayyads, Abbasids, Karahans, Gaznes
6 States that marked in Islamic World II Prominent between in the Islamic World II: selçukular, memuklar, Eyyubids
7 Feodal system in Europe: similarities and differences between eastern and western feodalities the Concept of feudalism: feudalism in the east and west

9 Causes, realization and results of the Crusades the History of crusades
