Course Objective

The aim of the course is to provide information about new developments and applications in the field of cognitive psychology, current paradigms and cognitive tests. In addition, it is aimed to provide students with skills in research and information gathering that will contribute to their professional development by addressing the main topics of Cognitive Psychology. The content of the course will be developed with the instructor at the beginning of each semester in line with the interests of the students who choose the course.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1-To have knowledge of the literature on current topics in cognitive psychology
2   2- Acquiring the habit of critical thinking while evaluating literature knowledge
3   3- To be able to integrate the interests acquired in this course with other fields
4   4- To have knowledge about the topics of cognitive psychology such as thinking, decision making, problem solving
5   5- Learning about the connections between cognition, emotion, thought and language
6   6- To be able to define scientific research methods specific to the field of cognitive psychology
7   7- To be able to access and transfer current studies and resources in the field of cognitive psychology
8   8- To be able to summarize current research areas in the field of cognitive psychology
9   9- To be able to make predictions about developments in the field of cognitive psychology
