Course Objective

Understanding and interpreting the construction process of Islamic history causally on the basis of facts, exploring the political, social, military, scientific and cultural aspects of Islamic civilization that emerged and developed on different geographies, understanding the place and importance of Turks in Islamic history.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1	Comprehends the place and importance of Umayyad and Abbasid period in Islamic history.
2	Understands when and how Turkish-Arab relations began.
3	Comprehends the Islamization process of the Turks and interpret their contribution to Islamic culture and civilization.
4	Discusses the political, military, social and cultural roles of Turks in Islamic history in particular and in World History in general.
5	Interprets the dynamics of the first established Muslim-Turkish dynasties in expanding and building a world civilization.
