Course Objective

Rhythmic gymnastics, field definition, history, and its contemporary practicals, classifying rhythmic gymnastics rules, To teach Judging system and to develop movement diversity (with and without apparatus, different direction, plane, dimensions, to use space and area, accompany with music and to improve creativity (coordinative skills). To transfer all these advantages to every individuals of all ages

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To identify basic information about the history and rhythmic gymnastics disciplines
2   To classify rules rhythmic gymnastics, acquire information about the terminology
3   To make the basic body movements used in Rhythmic Gymnastic
4   To apply the basic techniques and choreography to create rhythmic gymnastics rope.
5   To know the importance of rhythmic gymnastics branch in the sports field

1 The history of rhythmic gymnastics, field presentation
2 Branch rules Introduction to techniques of branch warming Classification of body movements
3 Body elements in RG (swings, circles, eights, turns, travellings, rhythmic steps, skips and hops, pre-acrobatic elements)
4 Coordinative skills (skills of balance, rhythm, reaction, decompose, combination, orientation, changing, and using space, direction plane and dimension, fluency)
5 To create small combinations with body movement Flexibility exercises Ballet exercises Rope techniques
