Course Objective

Human resource management is a function in organizations designed to maximize employee performance in service of an employer's strategic objectives. HR is primarily concerned with the management of people within organizations, focusing on policies and on systems. The aim of this course is to evaluate the HRM in the special case of Logistics Businesses and make inferences from the fields of social psychology, organizational behaviour and strategic management.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To understand the systematic and strategy of human resource management, differences between HR and Personnel Management
2   To evaluate logistics business applications in terms of HR principles.
3   To try to understand the responsibilities of human resource department in the process of HRM
4   To understand the theories related to the human resources
5   To analyze the case studies about the human resource management in logistics businesses
