A technical analysis is done on a sample carpet practically. To be able to make a local carpet arrangement, necessary criteria and calculations are instructed by samples. The students are expected to make carpet arrangements and variations in accordance with a selected location, using the information they have gained. The students are guided during the theoretical and practice studies.
The practice studies are realized by pixel basis programs. In addition to the basic knowledge they have gained in Pattern Design on Computer lessons, the students are instructed about using the programs for carpet designing and applied techniques; and practice studies begin.
Furthermore, the students prepare a production design in intended size without deforming the motifs of a local carpet.
The students also prepare homework and a presentation on another local carpet except the locals they are studying on.
