Course Objective

The aim of this course is to enable them to understand the criteria for distinguishing mental health and abnormality, developmental characteristics and adjustment problems of adolescents, and preventive and intervention strategies in family counseling.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to comprehend the basic concepts, principles and historical development of mental health
2   To be able to explain the developmental characteristics of adolescence periods and adaptation problems
3   Understanding preventive and intervention strategies in family counseling
4   To be able to integrate mental health theories with professional field and professional ethical requirements
