Course Objective

Music and gender studies, experimental and post-structuralist studies in music, especially since there goes the second half of the 20th century. At the same time the discipline of music education is also insensitive to it. Gender in a society where the individuals primarily as sex an identification axle realize that identity, the music of the reflection and the reflection of the musical results may realize and thus is a researcher for the broad perspective topic to approach, is extremely important. In this context, gender cultures in music and music culture in addressing gender recent academic studies, an interdisciplinary approach is discussed. Music education has borrowed concepts from the discipline of ethnomusicology with 'gender and music education' is to concentrate on their research. Gender, cultural identity, with the idea held by addressing these studies in ethnomusicology and music education research has begun to stand out on a world scale.
