Course Objective

Investigate the genetical and neurochemical components of etiopathogenesis of cognition and communication disorders, particularly emotion, in this context, reviewing neurochemical basis of behaviour and thought and related subjects especially thought and behaviour disorders.

6 Relation between memory and language
7 Memory and its disorders, dementia
8 Midterm
9 Intelligence(development of intelligence, mental retardation, specific learning and communication disorders)
10 The neural basis of thought, decision and thought disorders and thought based speech disorders
11 Emotions; neural basis of emotion and motivation
12 Anxiety, fear and cognitive processes
13 Drug and other behavioural addictions and neurobiology of impulsivity and its cognitive characteristics
14 Neurocognitive dysfunction in mood disorders and its neural basis, Neurocognitive dysfunction in schizophrenia and its neural basis
