Course Objective

The aim of this course is to explain the socio-economic changes in the Ottoman system between 1600-1800.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To learn the Ottoman economic mentality before the modern period
2   To learn Ottoman economic institutions and economic developments before the modern period.
3   To learn the structure of pre modern Ottoman society
4   To be able to analyse the Ottoman classical institutions and changing institutions.
