Course Objective


In this course, it is aimed to provide the students with care by combining the individual family and society with biopsychosocial dimensions by combining the theoretical knowledge acquired in the field of mental health and psychiatric nursing with practice.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1. To be able to understand the practical function of theories and care models used in mental health and psychiatric nursing
2   2. To be able to provide mental care appropriate to age periods in protecting, developing and improving mental health
3   3. To be able to use the theoretical knowledge and skills acquired in the field of mental health and psychiatric nursing in care

Skills of interpretation, recollection, decision-making, explanation, knowledge combination are assessed by means of exams.

In their homeworks/presentations, the students are assessed in terms of defining, analysing, planning, deciding the cases, as well as conducting and assessing the interventions.
