Course Objective

This course aims to teach the student how to protect the health of school children, their parents and school personnel, how to identify factors affecting school health and how to provide nursing services in treatment, care and rehabilitation stages in cases of disease.

1   Student knows concepts and models of public health nursing used for school nursing practices
2   To assess health of school children, their parents and school personnel and to care according to nursing process
3   To take preventive measures that protects and promotes health of school children, their family and school personnel
4   Planning, practicing and evaluating nursing care of the children have special health needs, families and school staff
5   Using evidence results in school nursing

The student s interpretation, recollection, decision making, description, information combination skills shall be assessed via exams.
