Course Objective

Within the scope of this course, it is aimed that students will learn the main psychopathologies and learn the methods based on the cognitive behavioral approach in the intervention of these situations in the psychological counselling process.

1   Understands the developmental psychopathology approach
2   Understands the principles of developmental psychopathology
3   Understands the approaches (biological, analytical, cognitive behavioral) explaining developmental psychopathology
4   Understands the basic principles of cognitive behavioral therapy
5   Learns cognitive behavioral therapy based interventions related to psychopathologies

3 Risk factors and protective factors in developmental psychopathology
4 Disorders in terms of developmental psychopathology
5 Relationship of abnormal behaviors with biological, familial and social factors
6 Approaches explaining developmental psychopathology (Biological, analytical, cognitive behavioral approach)
7 Basic principles of cognitive behavioral approach
8 Formulation in cognitive behavioral approach
9 Anxiety disorders and intervention based on cognitive behavioral approach
10 Post-traumatic stress disorder and intervention based on cognitive behavioral approach
11 Eating disorders and intervention based on cognitive behavioral approach
12 Depression and intervention based on cognitive behavioral approach
