Course Objective

To introduce students non-formal Religious Education, to make them aware of its importance and necessity in individual and social life, to bring them to a level where they can discuss the need for lifelong religious education, based on the information obtained at the undergraduate level.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   They can explain how a person's whole life is also the period of mass religious education.
2   They will know mass religious education is an activity of religious education.
3   They can make sensible relation between mass religious education and a person s life-long educational needs.
4   They will be desirable of giving mas religious education.
5   They will be able to contact with people and institutions that are working in mass religious educational areas.

7 New approaches in non-formal religious education.
8 The relation and co-operation of non-formal religious education with other educational areas.
9 The relation between non-formal religious education and general education.
10 Historical dimensions of non-formal religious education ( the institutions that had given non-formal religious education in history. Some practicing examples).
11 Current institutions that gives non-formal religious education.
12 Educational activities that run by the Department of Religious Affairs.
13 non-formal religious education centred in mosques.
14 A non-formal religious educational institutions: Quran courses.

Students will develop their understanding and practicing abilities about main topics and problems of mass religious education.

Assessment Criteria

The students will be assessed based on success in their mid-term and final exams along with their performance during the classes throughout the semester.
