Course Objective

This course aims at providing information about the history of linguistics and linguistic theories, and administer a discussion about the similarities and differences between these theories.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   At the end of the lesson,students are expected to be able to
2   State the main thoughts and theories in linguistics
3   Discuss the similarities between the theories and movements
4   Discuss the differences between the theories and movements
5   State the main terms related with the linguistic theories
6   Interrogate the relationship between linguistic theories and movements
7   Explain the first linguistic studies
