Course Objective

This course aims to provide students with theoretical and practical information on culture, intercultural communication and translation. The students are introduced with important cultural models, the basic requirements and problems of intercultural communication. The problems arising from intercultural differences that can be faced during translation process are also highlighted during the course. Students can improve their translation skills by working on cultural transfer strategies.
