Course Objective |
Biotechnology is critical to many different industries,including the health sciences and agriculture and the food and beverage industry uses applied microbial biotechnology in many products.Microorganisms have been used in the biotechnology due to they grow up in short time and fastly. Therefore microorganisms are manipulated for production of antibiotic, interferon,insulin,yogurt and cheese.The course aims to provide an introduction to microbial biotechnology,metabolism in microorganism,microbial growth,and secondary metabolite production from microorganisms. |

Meaningful learning of the basic concepts given in presentations, association of concepts with each other, establishing the cause-result relationships and making comments by using the information available for problems and evaluating idea generation are carried out with mid-term and final exams, active participation to the lecture, homework. |
