Course Objective |
The course aims to understand and discuss the concept of user participation in architectural design and to determine users problems and needs by provision of adequate communication methods and targets to transform those outputs into use in a design process. The course whose content should be comprehended in both theoretic and practical means, aims to interpret the theoretical knowledge to practical experience within a media (such as community workshops, participatory design implementations) which brings together the partners and shareholders. |

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods |
The course will sustain through lectures on theories as well as discussions on students research on the case studies. Students will make a field study and will prepare a final research and a presentation. |

Assessment Criteria |
The homework and students presentations will be evaluated through the comprehensibility, quality of proposal and quality of presentation and submissions. Participation in class, attendance and contribution to the work will also be taken into consideration. |
