Course Objective

The aim of this course is to raise awareness among nursing students about the concept of disadvantaged and special needs children, the situation of disadvantaged children in our country, and the services and legal regulations for these children.

2   Knowing the situation of disadvantaged children in the world and in Türkiye
3   Ability to identify the needs of disadvantaged children
4   Knowing the legal regulations for disadvantaged children and their families
5   Knowledge of services for disadvantaged children and their families

7   Ability to define the health and education needs of children with special needs.

In the assessment of the course:
The success grade will be determined by taking 50% of the midterm grade and 50% of the project presentation, which will replace the final grade, in determining the semester calculations in the Evaluation of the Course.

The exams assess the skills of; interpretation, recall, decision-making, explanation, classification and combination of knowledge
