Course Objective

The course aims to introduce the basic concepts and principles of design, develop the logic of three-dimensional abstract thinking towards basic design, and impart fundamental design skills in creating two and three-dimensional spatial compositions.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   LO1: Perceive basic concepts related to space and fundamental design principles.
2   LO2: Utilize concepts related to space and basic design in different representational environments (verbal, visual, and interactive digital environments).
3   LO3: Apply fundamental design principles to two and three-dimensional design problems.
4   LO4: Establish relationships between geometry, material, structure, and form in design solutions.
5   LO5: Present design proposals developed during the process in various representational environments (verbal, visual, digital).
