Course Objective

This course aims at defining the category of developing country, identifing poverty phenomenon, analyzing developing countries with the conditions of the period of urbanization, interpreting the Turkish urbanization and analyzing the relationships between the urbanization process and urban transformation.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   At the end of this course, students, will be able to define the developing country category (Knowledge)
2   will be able to understand the phenomenon of poverty (Knowledge)
3   will be able to analyze the housing problem in Türkiye (Comprehension),
4   will be able to evaluate housing practices in developing countries. (Application),
5   will be able to relate urbanization processes to urban transformation (Analysis).

Describing (Comprehension) and Interpreting (Application) will be measured by Homework
Relating (Analysis) will be measured by Final Examination.

Assessment Criteria

Description and Listing (Information), Description (Comprehension) is measured by Midterm Exam and Homework.
Distance education continues in 2020-2021 Fall Semester. There will also be a mid-term exam (question and answer given for a long time) and a homework submission in this semester. Interpretation (Application) and Association (Analysis) are measured by Final Exam (as homework delivery).
