Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Basic knowledge and main principles of stratigraphy will be given in face to face learning. These principles will be applied in each application. In order to establish stratigraphic sequence of a given area, a field work will be done.

Assessment Criteria

Lithological and depositional textural features of sedimentary rocks wil be avaluated in course and application exams (LOs 1-2). The determine the relationships between rock units and estalish the lithostratigrphic columnar section of an area will be tested in the laboratuary and field studies (LOs 3-5).
