Course Objective

In this course, we will discuss topics such as multi-criteria decision making, goal programming, decision analysis, utility theory, network models, game theory, and nonlinear programming. Our goal is to help students develop their ability to create mathematical models related to these subjects and use appropriate solution methods to find the most suitable solutions to Industrial Engineering problems.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Ability to apply multi-criteria decision-making techniques and goal programming
2   Ability to apply decision analysis technique and game theory principles
3   Ability to create network models and nonlinear models for solving Industrial Engineering problems
4   Ability to solve network models and nonlinear models with relevant methods
5   Ability to interpret, report, and present solutions acquired through the implementation of optimization techniques in the field of industrial engineering
