Course Objective

The aim of the course is to explain the stages in the Business Process Management life cycle. These stages include goal setting, process design, process implementation, process establishment and measurement, and process evaluation. The course also aims to teach students to analyze corporate performance from a process perspective, redesign processes using value-oriented techniques, and create and implement workflows.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Having knowledge about the methods necessary to define, analyze and improve business processes
2   Ability to understand Business Process Management notation and develop business process models using this notation
3   Ability to reveal weaknesses in a given process and suggest improvements that will increase organizational performance
4   Ability to apply the methods explained in the course with the help of computer software
5   Ability to work as a team on a project using the methods explained in the course
