Course Objective

The aim of the lecture is providing the following knowledge for the students; i)the components and necessities of a landfill, ii)how to obtain these componentsand necessities iii)how to make material selection for the area iv)information on design of a landfill area and technically traw it, v)information on major costs

1   Can list the components of a landfill area and can describe its necessities
2   Can foresee the landfill volume and can locate its place
3   Can compare the area of a landfill and its components according to the current and future needs
4   Can compare the material types used in landfills, can investigate the landfills, and can make sense out of the results of this ivestigation
5   Can plan and design a landfill area according to the needs
6   Can determine the appropriate landfill technique according to the properties of the area and land, can decide about the technique
