Course Objective

To gain awareness of understanding of religion and religious sects are not equals. To act against the people tolerant as possible, in developing the idea that people have different beliefs and ideas and communities.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   student, will have information about the concepts and the methods of the main sources of the History of Islamic Sects
2   learn the creed, and the majorfactors (like religious texts, politics, social change, human element, ancient cultures and civilizations) affecting the emergence of political Islamic sects
3   People's understanding and interpretation of religion'll be able to accept different points of view, different understandings and perspectives learned in Islamic thought
4   student, will have knowledge about the contribution of regions and Islamic thought, and the information about beliefs and ideas, members, literature, formation processes that occur throughout the history of Islamic sects
5   With the ability to analyze the relationship between the Islamic sects oflslam with religious sects can not be considered winning, tolerance and understanding of different denominations should behave towards each other

9 Shi'ite Denominations: Zeydîlik
10 Shi'ite Denominations: Ismaelite-Bâtınîlik - Imamiyye
11 Gulati Sects: Arab Alawites, Druzes, Yazidites
12 Resulting in the belief of Mahdi sects: Bâbism-Bahâism, Qadiyanism
13 Wahhabism
