Course Objective

Understanding basic knowledge about the Tanakh and the New Testament, the emergence of the texts that make up these books, the processes of canonization, their values as sacred texts, as well as historical texts, the relationship of the Qur'an with these texts

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Understands the Definition of the Bible, its value and content according to Jews and Christians.
2   Learns the concepts of the Old and New Testaments, as well as the emergence of the texts that make up the Bible.
3   Understands the Canonization of the Old Testament, its significance and value from the point of view of the Jewish prophets and Jesus.
4   Gets basic information about the gospels, the Book of Acts, the letters that belong to Paul and are attributed to the apostles and the leaders of the congregation.
5   Understands discussions about the New Testament and the process of canonization of the New Testament.
