Course Objective

To provide to learn that since Maturudiyya interfered and became a part of Turkish culture, what kind of religious understanding it is and what type of interpretation it is as to shed light on the modern life.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students will grasp the theoretical base of Maturudiyya as a religious understanding of Ehl-i Sunna.
2   Will get information about the philosophical value of some basic beliefs of Maturudiyya as a creed sect.
3   Will learn Maturudiyya's place in Turkish cultural life.
4   Will grasps the importance of Maturudiyya in modern social life.
5   Will know what is Maturudi's views about place and function of a religion in life general.
