Course Objective

it is necessary to understand mystic commentary and its books that are important part of the tafsir history. They are benefit for theology faculty. Students learn sufistic tafsir (in addition to diraya and riwaya) that expands their horizons. When sufistic commentary is learned, it provides connection with practical life. It is comprehended different aspects of the Quran thanks to mysticism and philosophy. Students learn meanings except the literal meaning but connect it. Sufistic approach, commentary, principles in the modern era and its exegetes are learned.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   teaching sufistic commentary from the beginning.
2   teaching sufistic commentary and its evaluation in the first period.
3   in the first term of sufism, problems of the understanding Quran, its evaluation and solutions. Understanding of the Quran and evaluation from the Past to present day to exegate it.
4   to realize differences between sufi tafsirs and others methods and contents
5   students learn comparison kinds of tafsirs wtih sufi tafsirs
6   students learn comparison contemporary sufistic approach in tafsirs with past sufi tafsirs

9 Development of commentary and its representatives
10 texts from Lataifül- işarat
11 texts from Bahrul-Medîd
12 example from ottoman period: texts from Bursevî
13 problems of commentary in the sufi tafsirs
14 evaluation of the homework
