Course Objective

The aim of the course is to define the Neolithic and Chalcolithic cultures in the Near East on the basis of production technologies.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to describe Semi-Settled societies and lives in the Near East
2   To be able to define special interior regions in the Holocene in the Near East: Levant, Mesopotamia and Central Anatolia geographically and culturally.
3   To be able to discuss the development processes in settlement typology in the Near East.
4   Ability to examine settled life in the Near East
5   Ability to describe the Neolithic Package produced in the Near East and its spread
6   Be able to describe the transformation from village to city, from chief to king in the Near East
7   Ability to define prehistoric ages and periods in Archaeological Chronology
