Course Objective |
In the concept of this course, it is expected from the students to have information on the biotechnology and its application area, importance and place of enzyme technology in biotechnology, general view on biotechnological methods, fermentation technology, biological systems in biotechnology (bacteria, yeasts, molds, protozoa and their biotechnological importances), metabolism in microorganisms, catabolic and anabolic reactions, microbial growths and biomass formation kinetics, continuous and batch cultures, bioreactors and their types, biotechnological enzyme production, amino acid productions, antibiotic production, organic acid production, biotransformations and environmental biotechnology. |
