Course Objective

This course aims to examine and produce examples of contemporary essay writing in order to ascertain and widen the range of creative non-fiction today.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To identify reading and writing practices that exhibit lacunae in knowledge and errors in thinking
2   To identify stylistic clichés
3   To identify reductive ideological readings and writing
4   To identify the machinations of pleasure and fantasy in reading and writing
