Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide students get knowledgeable about ethic, morality, values and norms, professional ethical and legal rules of counseling.

1 Introducing the course's purpose, importance, content, processes and evaluation criteria (rubric) to students.
2 Focusing on ethics and basic concepts and directing students to tools and resources where they can conduct research so that they can delve deeper into the subject.
3 Emphasizing the subject of PDR within the scope of ethical approaches and having students start scientific compilation studies on ethical principles
4 Examining ethical dilemmas and decision-making models, focusing on the relationship between personal and professional ethics and continuing compilation studies
5 Emphasizing the subject of ethical principles and dilemmas regarding confidentiality and keeping records and continuing compilation studies
6 Presenting the compilation results and conducting peer evaluation
7 General Review, Assessment, Midterm Exam
8 Emphasizing the subject of multiple relationships and boundaries, continuing compilation studies on ethical principles regarding multiple relationships
9 Emphasizing the subject of multiple relationships and boundaries, continuing compilation studies on ethical violations regarding multiple relationships, ethical dilemmas and how to solve them and what needs to be done

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

In addition to narration, brainstorming, question and answer, peer evaluation
1- writing an article using compilation or document analysis method,
2- developing, discussing and creating blog posts and social media content from the article as a result of examining and analyzing current internship practices, film analyses, case analyses,
3- presenting a written oral report of the work done in the midterm and final exams.

Evaluation will be made based on the rubric. Reviewing the recommended books and resources, making observations, preparing presentations and articles is requested

Assessment Criteria

Participation in class, accessing and reading resources, presentations given on the subject, article case study, writing, reporting, implementation, observation and preparation of homework on time, participation in peer group studies and peer assessment processes

A minimum of 70 percent participation in the course is required, accessing and reading resources, presentations and applications given on the subject and participation in peer review and group studies, article review, observation and preparation of homework, submission of the report on midterm and final exam dates should be done on time
