Course Objective

In this course, students are aimed to gain knowledge, skills and competence about the use of technology in education and assistive technologies in special education; commonly used technology based learning environments and tools; current technologies used in special education; selecting, using and evaluating appropriate technologies for individual with special needs; instructional technologies for hearing impaired students; instructional technologies for visually impaired students; instructional technologies for students with autism spectrum disorder; instructional technologies for gifted and talented students; developing a technology based authentic application for any groups with special needs.

1   To be able to explain assistive technologies in special education.
2   To be able to select appropriate technologies for individual with special needs.
3   To be able to use appropriate technologies for individual with special needs.
4   To be able to evaluate appropriate technologies for individual with special needs.
