Course Objective |
The objective of this course is to provide students with an understanding of the pathophysiology of inflammatory, degenerative, vascular, and mechanical diseases of the gastrointestinal system (GIS), as well as to equip them with knowledge of the internal medicine and surgical approaches to these conditions. Furthermore, students will gain an understanding of the fundamental aetiologies of infectious diseases, including their diagnostic and differential diagnostic processes, and will be able to apply the principles of current treatment strategies. By the end of the course, students will be able to explain the aetiology of GIS diseases, distinguish between relevant diagnostic and therapeutic approaches, perform differential diagnoses for infectious diseases, and apply the principles of their treatment, thus achieving the necessary level of knowledge and skill. |

In all semesters, students are evaluated on a scale of 100 points, with a passing grade of 50 or above. A grade of 60 (sixty) is considered to be the minimum passing grade. |
Assessment Criteria |
In all semesters, success grades are evaluated out of 100 (one hundred) full points. The term passing score is determined as 60 (sixty). |
