Course Objective

This process; predominantly takes color painting as a problem, comprehends the basic principles of plastic shaping within the logic of visual thinking, and opens up the possibilities of expressive color and paint painting to discussion; It offers an opportunity to experience different techniques through combinations of various topic suggestions.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Applies plastic values elements according to composition rules.
2   Ability to create form and volume with color.
3   Experiences the formation process of a pictorial language through experiments on shaping.
4   Acquires basic skills regarding surface and three dimensions.
5   It is not intended to comprehend the basic principles of plastic forming.

Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 Providing general information about the material and theme content of the studies to be carried out throughout the semester, and examining suitable examples for the studies to be carried out.
2 Preparation of the mechanism to be used in color; Discussion of basic information about the concepts of composition, ratio-proportion, light-shadow, light-dark, through still life studies.

4 Working with gouache/acrylic technique on paper, measuring 50x70, with a multiple composition created by taking into account the warm-cold color balance.
5 Continuing to work from the setup, discussing color possibilities over the work and developing the color palette.
