Course Objective

This course aims at acquiring the skills needed for interpreting through various interpreting exercises and introducing basic concepts and codes regarding interpreting.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Explain interpreting types and their features.
2   Define interpreting institutions and codes of ethics regarding the profession.
3   Realize the personal, social and professional responsibilities of an interpreter.
4   Apply memory improvement techniques and various interpreting strategies.
5   Identify basic problems arising in the interpreting process and find solutions.
