Course Objective

To teach the cracked tooth syndrome, definition and treatment of tooth discoloration, diagnosis and treatment of halitosis, definition of tunnel restorations and restoration types, fiber reinforced composite resin types, definition and preparation of composite laminate restorations, color selection in composites, definition of geriatric dentistry, biocompatibility, dental erosion definition, atraumatic restorative treatment, and the definition and content of posterior composite resins. Basic knowledge will be reinforced with restorative clinical applications.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

1. The practice course will be given to the entire class in groups.
2. Each group will receive four weeks (eighty hours) of practice training in the restorative dental clinic throughout the academic year.
