General Description
History |
Textile, Clothing, Footwear and Leather Department's Textile Technology Program was first established in 1994 with the support of Aegean Apparel and Apparel Exporters' Association under the name of Ready-to-Wear Program. It is a 2-year program consisting of 14 weeks and 4 semesters. In this 2-year program, theoretical lectures, workshop practices and industry-based teaching are offered. Textile Technology Program is designed to teach the students the basic concepts of textiles and ready-to-wear, as well as to develop handicrafts in industry and workshop applications. |

Qualification Requirements and Regulations |
The student must complete 2 years of study acquiring 120 (ECTS) credits. This degree is awarded to students who have successfully completed all courses in the curriculum, compulsory 40 days of internship and have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.00/4.00 and no failing grades. |

Program Purpose: Textile Technology Program aims to meet the intermediate staff needs of the industry for today and in the future, our training program aims to enable students to develop their talents and present creative and original textile and fashion products using form, color, material, structure and function relations. |

According to the "Regulation on the Continuation of Undergraduate Education for Open Education Associate Degree Programs' and Vocational Schools' Graduates", the Vocational School Graduates, who wish to continue to the Undergraduate Degree, may register to the relevant departments by entering and succeeding the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS).
