General Description
History |
Construction Technology Program started to education at 1982 1983 academic year. Higher Education World Bank Industrial Education Project I were established Laboratories at 1985. 2 year program consisting of four semesters of 14 weeks. This two year program in the process of theoretical lectures, laboratory practices and industry based training is provided. Program is to teach students the basic concepts of building and construction of the building with all kinds of industrial and laboratory applications designed to develop manual skills. |

The student must complete 2 years of study acquiring 120 (ECTS) credits. This degree is awarded to students who have successfully completed all courses in the curriculum, compulsory 40 days of internship and have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.00/4.00 and no failing grades. |
Profile of the Programme |
The program covers the basic professional knowledge and industry based, theoretical courses are given vocational college classrooms, laboratories, the application of the program are courses. Students in the second year 8 weeks (40 working days compulsory) courses during the application and complete the internship based on their industry. Construction Technology Program, formal education and secondary education is given in Turkish. 60 students at first grade (formal education) and 60 students at first grade (evening education) as total 120 students are in education and training. The program serves 4 Instructor. Izmir Vocational School of Construction Technology Program is used laboratory. In this laboratory, Materials, Concrete, Soil Mechanics, Structural Mechanics, Hydraulic, Asphalt tests to be conducted. Students are able to practice using instruments and equipments at this laboratory Provided by the Higher Education World BankIndustrial Education project. Private sector and public sector training and technical excursion services are offered to students. |

According to the "Regulation on the Continuation of Undergraduate Education for Open Education Associate Degree Programs" and Vocational Schools" Graduates", the Vocational School Graduates, who wish to continue to the Undergraduate Degree, may register to the relevant departments by entering and succeeding the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS). |
