Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide prospective teachers with a foundational understanding of special education, including its basic concepts, the characteristics of individuals with special needs, and the historical and legal development of special education services.

1   Explains the basic concepts and principles of special education.
2   Identifies different types of disabilities and describes their characteristics.
3   Analyzes the educational needs of individuals with special needs.
4   Explains the methods, techniques, and tools used in special education.

12 Gifted and talented children and their characteristics
