Course Objective

The aim of this course is to introduce the fundamental principles and concepts of applied behavior analysis (ABA), to develop skills in defining, measuring, and analyzing behavior, and to provide a foundation for conducting behavioral assessment and intervention with individuals with special needs. The course also aims to equip students with scientifically-based methods for collecting and interpreting behavioral data.

1   Explains the fundamental principles of applied behavior analysis.
2   Develops skills in observing and defining behavior.
3   Applies data collection techniques for measuring behavior.
4   Describes and implements ABC analysis.
5   Explains operant conditioning, reinforcement, and punishment principles.
6   Designs a behavioral assessment plan.
7   Develops behavior intervention strategies based on ethical guidelines.
