Course Objective

The aim of this course is to introduce the developmental, educational, and social characteristics of individuals with hearing and visual impairments and to equip prospective teachers with knowledge about the support services, instructional methods, and special education processes required by these individuals. The course also aims to develop students competencies in early identification, assessment, assistive technologies, and inclusive practices related to these disabilities.

3   Identifies the educational needs of individuals with hearing and visual impairments.
4   Distinguishes instructional methods and techniques used in teaching these students.

6   Plans appropriate arrangements within inclusive education frameworks.
7   Recognizes the importance of early intervention and family collaboration.
