To grasp the foundations of critical social theory and reveal its importance in understanding today's social world.

1   To analyse the foundations of critical theory, which constitutes a very important tradition of social theory.
2   To discuss the historical development and current status of critical theory,
3   To discuss contemporary societies based on critical theory,
4   To interpret contemporary social relations in the context of critical theory,
5   To analyse current crises of modern society by making use of critical theory.
