Course Objective

This course aims to examine the diagnostic criteria, differential diagnoses, epidemiological and etiological properties of, treatment approaches to and various case examples for psychiatric disorders classified in DSM-V. Depressive disorders; Bipolar and related disorders; Anxiety disorders; Obsessive compulsive and related disorders; Trauma and stressor related disorders will be covered in the framework of this course.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Be able to list diagnostic criteria of psychological disorders included in the course framework
2   Be able to explain differential diagnoses of psychological disorders included in the course framework
3   Be able to explain epidemiological properties of psychological disorders included in the course framework
4   Be able to explain etiological properties of psychological disorders included in the course framework
5   Be able to explain possible comorbid disorders diagnosed with psychological disorders included in the course framework
6   Be able to explain treatment approaches to psychological disorders included in the course framework
