Course Objective

In the Age and Gender Factors in Sports course, information will be obtained on how to plan physically, mentally and psychologically according to the age and gender of athletes. Information will be gained on the similarities and differences in male and female performance, age group training practices and gender equality in sports.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Knowing basic concepts related to age, gender and sports
2   Knowing the developmental characteristics of children, differences between men and women
3   Knowing the physiological effects of training plans according to age and gender
4   Knowing the characteristics of training according to age and gender
5   Knowing the differences in exercises performed in young and old people
